[How To] Password protect Bookmarks on Firefox

Do you want to password protect your bookmarks on Mozilla Firefox and don’t want to share with others using computer? This can happen, just by installing a plugin named Link Password on Firefox.

With the help of this Firefox add-ons you can protect each links and bookmarks individually. This means that you can set different passwords on different bookmark.

Steps for password protecting Bookmarks on Firefox are described below on step by step procedure:

1. Install and Enable Link Password.

2. After installation, restart your Firefox.

3. Right click the bookmark which you want to protect and click on “Encrypt this link”.

 

4. A new window displays asking you for a password. Enter your desire password and click on “ok”.

 

Now, whenever a user clicks on this encrypted bookmark link, it will ask to enter a password. Through this method you can hide your bookmarks from other users running a same computer.

If you want to remove the password simply click on “Decrypt this link“.
